–Editorial duties include curating, assigning, writing, and editing a content feed with a volume requirement of 60 posts per week. The Planetizen content feed includes aggregated news, feature articles, and blog posts.
–Manage social media marketing campaigns for content and products.
–Completed the 4th Edition of the Planetizen Guide to Graduate Urban Planning Programs as Managing Editor. The 4th Edition included updated and new editorial content and image content. Management responsibilities included the survey and data collection mechanisms for the 4th Edition’s graduate program rankings.
–Produce all marketing and media-relations materials for the Planetizen Courses.
–Recruit new bloggers from locations across the country and a large diversity of professional and personal backgrounds.

–While a daily editor for Curbed LA, record monthly traffic for the site increased from 1.4 million to 2.1 million pageviews (Curbed LA feed).
–Participated in multiple conferences as a panel member and panel moderator, provided insight as a radio guest on KCRW‘s Which Way L.A.? on multiple occasions, and participated as guest lecturer at graduate planning courses at the University of Southern California and Cal Poly Pomona.

–Researched, wrote, and edited seven reports for ULI Technical Assistance Panels: Florence/La Brea Transit Oriented Development, LAX Century Boulevard District, Ventura Wellness District, Los Angeles Convention Center, South Park BID, Long Beach Waterfront, and El Camino Community College.
–Researched and wrote the initial draft of the “LA2050: Who We Are, How We Live, Where We Are Going” report while under contract for Estolano LeSar Perez Advisors, LLC. The report sets the agenda and vision for the LA2050 initiative, funded by the Goldhirsh Foundation.
–Researched, wrote, and edited the “Regional Landscape Review of Climate Programs and Policies” report while under contract for Adi Liberman and Associates, funded by a grant from the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability.

–Managed all aspects of communications for the College of Environmental Design, including print and digital media production, social media production, public relations, and media relations. The College of Environmental Design includes the departments of Architecture, Art, Landscape Architecture, and Urban and Regional Planning.
–Delivered the first print publication for the College of Environmental Design: Link magazine. Responsible for every phase of development: creating design and editorial elements; assigning editorial schedule; hiring art director, copy editor, and mail managers; writing all copy; acquiring images; and cultivating the distribution list (delivered to a network of 9,000 alumni, practitioners, and academics).
–More than doubled the number of fans for the ENV group page on Facebook (from 400 to over 800), launched an ENV Twitter that has attracted 300+ followers, and an Instagram hashtag with more than 1,100 images posted through its first nine months of use.
–Promoted and assisted in planning all college and department events, most notably the “Technology and Environment: The Postwar House in Southern California” exhibition (a Pacific Standard Time Presents exhibition), the Re:Street event on April 5-6, 2013, and Poly-Kroma.
–Produced copy for university publications, including Panaroma (distributed to 115,000 alumni and university contacts) and PolyTrends (delivered to 15,000 alumni and friends of the university).
